Established in 1991, by David Barham, Vuecast Productions began its relationship with the AFL by producing the weekly International Highlights program. The relationship grew and we began trading as AFL Films, under licence, in 2000.
As a licensee of the AFL, we manage the AFL Film and Videotape library, produce the AFL highlights program (which is distributed worldwide) and process all requests for AFL vision, along with producing vision packages for the AFL and AFL clubs.
AFL Films Resume:
- Produced over 200 hours of television annually for Sports AFL, Optus Vision's 24 hour
pay-tv channel.
- Produced over 140 half hour episodes of children's football shows - Interfooty/Just Footy/Just AFL for the Seven Network
- Produced documentaries such as: 100 Years of Australian Football for the AFL's Centenary Year; Sheedy Unplugged, and James Hird - Against All Odds.
- Produced pay television C7's programs, including Football Feedback, Footy Focus, One on One and AFL Blockbusters.

AFL Films was awarded the Gold World medal at the New York Film Festival at the beginning of 2004. This prestigious award illustrates the quality of work that AFL Films delivers. AFL Films won this award ahead of organisations such as the international television network, ESPN, and the U.S. based Golf Channel.
